8月27日天空體育等多家媒體消息，弗法费纪切爾西接近以7000萬英鎊+浮動的纳达價格簽下萊斯特城中後衛韋斯利-弗法納。

這是成协切爾西對弗法納的第四次報價，此前他們首付6000萬英鎊的议创報價被萊斯特城拒絕。

弗法納本人希望加盟切爾西，中卫转他因為轉會傳聞缺席了對南安普頓的西签比賽，並將繼續缺席本輪做客藍軍的弗法费纪賽事。
