4月7日，曝前據德轉市場管理員消息，国安工作前國安主帥何塞將執教大連人隊。主帅

朱藝寫道：西班牙教練何塞·岡薩雷斯確定執教新賽季的何塞大連人隊。這是将执教他第五度來華工作，1997年他在天津隊擔任外援，连人2014年跟隨曼薩諾來華擔任國安助教，队第度华2016年底再度來華成為國安主帥，曝前2020年執教武漢。国安工作

何塞上賽季中途下課，主帅據多家媒體消息，何塞他下課的将执教主要原因是戰績不佳，不過也有消息顯示，连人何塞與管理層和部分球員發生無法調課的队第度华矛盾。
