北京時間5月31日，欧足欧超歐洲法院通過社交媒體宣布，联官歐超聯盟已經將歐足聯和國際足聯狀告到馬德裏法院，应被指控兩個機構涉嫌壟斷，起诉違反歐盟競爭法。定捍馬德裏法院即將對歐足聯和國際足聯兩個機構展開調查，卫自歐洲法院也會參與。身立對此，欧足欧超歐足聯官方也做出了相應的联官回應。

歐足聯官方表示：“歐足聯注意到歐洲法院已經受理了歐超聯賽相關法案，应被盡管這個所謂的起诉‘歐超聯賽’的9個創始俱樂部都已經退出。歐足聯對自身的定捍立場充滿信心，並會堅定地捍衛它。卫自”
