亞冠聯賽和亞足聯杯將由目前的官方春季-秋季改為秋季-春季跨年賽製，該賽製將於2023-24賽季起實施。亚冠用跨援名

同時，联赛自2023-24賽季起，年起年赛亞足聯俱樂部賽事參賽球隊的将采外援名額也從目前的“3+1”改為“5+1”，即不限國籍的制外五名外籍球員和一名來自亞足聯會員協會的球員。
