Barr shared her thoughts on the call with the hosts of 。 Good Morning America 。Thursday. "It was pretty exciting, I'll tell you that much," she said. "It was very sweet of him to congratulate us."。

She added, "He was just happy for me. I’ve known him for a lot of years and he’s done a lot of nice things for me over the years and it’s a friendly conversation about working, television and ratings." 。

Trump is notoriously obsessed with TV ratings, but Barr had a more positive spin on this particular quirk of his. "He really understands ratings and how they measure things and that’s been an interest of mine for a long time too," she said.。

As recently revealed by co-executive producer Bruce Rasmussen, that wasn't always going to be the case. "Originally I thought, like everybody else, that she would not be a supporter of Trump," he said.。
