It's rare to find a woman in television kicking butt on camera, forget behind it. 。

Netflix's 。 Jessica Jones。is attempting to accomplish both. At Transform Hollywood on Friday, Melissa Rosenberg, the show's executive producer, announced that all Season 2 episodes will be directed by women.。

Women directed slightly under a third of the show's first season. A study from the Center for Women in Television and Film found that women made up approximately 12 percent of all television directors in 2015. 。

Next season's Game of Thrones, by contrast, will not have any female directors.

Non-comic book fans have been drawn to the show for its measured blend of social drama, action, and meticulously constructed 'detective' plots. It's a superhero franchise enjoyed by people who barely know what the Marvel franchise is.。
