他曾是中國男足的主力中衛，也是杯官1976年中國隊首次參加亞洲杯取得季軍的功臣之一。

1978年，戚务他掛靴開始執教生涯。生庆生從青年隊到國家隊，率中一步一個腳印踐行著自己的国男广岛執教理念。

1994年，足夺他正式擔任中國隊主帥，亚洲亚运隨後率領中國男足連續擊敗西亞勁旅伊朗和沙特，杯官並在廣島亞運會中奪得銀牌。戚务這也是生庆生截至目前中國男足亞運會曆史最佳戰績。

今天是率中戚務生指導的78歲生日，願這位摯愛足球的国男广岛中國足壇名宿身體健康！
