COVID-19 vaccine distribution has officially begun, and if you're in the mood to feel hopeful about the future, you're in luck.
In an interview with CNN, Martin Kenyon — a 91-year-old British man who received the coronavirus vaccine on Tuesday — shared his experience as one of the first people to receive the vaccine. And you know what? The nearly five minutes of footage will significantly brighten your day.
Kenyon, who was clearly born to be on camera, casually explains that his vaccine experience essentially a breeze.
"I rang up Guy's Hospital, which I know very well because I've lived in London most of my grown-up life, and I said what's this thing, you're doing the vaccination? They said, 'Yes.' And then they spent time asking me questions about this and that, not very interesting. And I said, 'Yes, no, yes, no.' And they said, 'Well come at 12,'" Kenyon told the reporter.

After issuing some extremely relatable complaints about lack of parking and "a rather nasty lunch," Kenyon said that the vaccine was painless and he "didn’t know the needle had gone in until it had come out."
Sounds like...a dream?
When asked how it felt to be one of the first people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, the charming 91-year-old said, "I don't think I feel about it all, except that I hope that I'm not going to have the bloody bug now… I have granddaughters and I want to live a long time to enjoy their lives."
He went on to say, "Well, there's no point in dying now when I've lived this long, is there? I don't plan to, anyway."
Kenyon wasn't the first person to receive the vaccine in the UK — 90-year-old Margaret Keenan was, followed by an 81-year-old man named William Shakespeare (yes, really) — but his nonchalant, wisdom-heavy interview responses coupled with that captivating accent made him the standout vaccine recipient on social media.
It was a history-making interview, and it seems that Twitter users are fully prepared to stan Martin for the rest of time.
