北京時間3月4日淩晨，官方俄羅斯足協對外發出一份聲明，俄罗就國際足聯和歐足聯做出的斯足诉求禁賽決定，向國際體育仲裁法庭（CAS）提出上訴，出上参赛要求兩大機構恢複俄羅斯男女足的恢复參加所有類型足球賽事的資格，以及賠償俄羅斯足協的资格損失。
