John Awesome and Nydia Hernandez tell ABC News that they happened upon the band while taking engagement photos in the California woods. The band itself was also mid-photoshoot when the couple approached them and asked if they'd be up for a photo.
"Super nice people," Awesome told ABC News. "I seriously can't make this stuff up."
The internet's gone crazy for the photo, thanks to a Reddit post that garnered nearly 800,000 views.
As photographer Janet Wheeland told ABC News: "It was a perfect, spontaneous finale to our photo shoot. We couldn't have planned it better."
