北京時間6月7日，官方根據歐足聯官網公布的森西消息，國米中場森西因傷退出意大利國家隊，因伤意取而代之的退出是亞特蘭大中場的佩西納。

此前，利国佩西納落選了意大利國家隊的家队歐洲杯26人大名單，但是佩西他並沒有離開集訓基地，而是纳入一直留在基地訓練，以防有球員突然受傷。官方

據報道，森西森西是因伤意在上周四的國家隊訓練中受傷，導致了內收肌拉傷複發，退出經過檢查，利国確認他沒有辦法趕在歐洲杯揭幕戰之前恢複，家队最終無緣本屆歐洲杯。佩西經過綜合考慮，意大利國家隊決定向歐足聯提交換人文件。
